I´ve got a server (Compaq ML350 ) with a built-in tape station and since 3 weeks ago the veritas backup exec is giving the error message that the tape device is offline. Sometimes the tape device can not be detected by NT (in the tape device program in control panel, but usually it is). Has anybody had this problem?? This seems very weird. I´m not located in the same country as the server but I have had a Compaq technician to have a look at it and he saw nothing wrong with it.
