Our company has a VoIP network composed of only Nortel systems. A couple sites which are on the VoIP network have a separate ACD PBX (Aspect). The Aspect PBXs are connected to the local Nortel system via T1/PRI with coordinated dialing between systems (ex Nortel = ext 2xxx, Aspect = ext 3xxx).

The VoIP network uses a UDP scheme with three digit site codes followed by the four digit local extension. We would like to enable the Aspect phones to dial across the VoIP network. Currently, the Aspect phones can be called from a remote Nortel system, but again, the Aspect phones can not call across the VoIP network to other sites at this time.

Originally, we hoped to point the Aspect systems to our Nortel NRS server directly, but our interoperability testing failed. We would now like to try to tandem calls through the local nortel system onto the VoIP network.

I'm fairly new to CS 1000 administration, and don't know where to start on this one. I assume I can setup a number on the CS 1000 that will basically give the caller "dial tone" on the VoIP network. How can I go about this?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds to me like you need to check the ncos level on the trunks to the aspect box. They may not be high enough to allow the calling of the other sites.
