i'm in way over my head so please bear with me. We're testing a VoIP solution and my manager has been instructed to have me enable tandem trunking. can't find anything in NTP specifically called TANDEM TRUNKING but did find trunk-to-trunk transfer. is this the same thing? thanks.

not the exact same, when a call comes into your switch, tie or did, a the digits recieved can hit a rlb and send it back out, i use it when i get a network call from a remote switch, the far end is programed to add 9, which hits bars which of course sends it to the network. i also have a route that if i rec 496+ i send add a 9 and send it to my switch in the 496 exchange, their it goes out as a local call, from my tie trunk to the far end cot. if one of my 11's dial a 4 digit exten on another switch that follows a the path from one tie to another tie tandem through my switch.. it's all done in bars and is very simple if you do it one step at a time and document your routes
