I have some expensive outgoing calls that are showing up in my Veramark CAS. The extension is listed as "Tandem". I don't know exactly what that means. Some of the calls I could trace to extensions in that same building.

Is there something not setup correctly on a particular extension that it's not relaying to the CAS?

It means the call came in on a trunk and back out to another. It could be phones call forwarded off net, vectors routing off net, remote access, etc....... -CL

Calls that come into your switch and are rerouted without any human intervention are tandem calls. This can be caused by routing through an IVR, VDN, AUDIX, or by piracy if you don't have everything locked down for trunk to trunk transfers.
