Hi

I have taken music off the IAO trunk and just have silence on hold, no beep beep's!

I know that on older M1/CS1000's you have to change the dip on the conference card to set this up, but on 5.0 with a CPPM there are no conference cards

Does anyone know how to add the beep beeps on hold for 5.0 with a CPPM?

Cheers
Paul

To my knowledge, the "beep" isn't "On Hold" but rather "In Conference"

I also think that is only possible on large systems with Conf Cards

So, no beep on hold to my knowledge. I'd record a beep on an audio source and just play that into this trunk route.

Hopefully someone else can show me there is a beep possible "on hold" - even though I always though it just confused callers making them thing they had a call waiting, resulting in them hanging up.

gh is right.. since almost ever switch turned the beeps off, they are now gone.. you can record any sound you want and use that file as moh.. but the reason the beeps went away, as soon as you put a person on conf, they thought they were hearing a call waiting tone... you don't have a hard conf card.. is there one in your cequ.. if so you can prt that to see if you have any beep options.. in later rls 81 style cs1000's the beeps are controlled by software, not the old switch on the conf card
