Hello,

I am trying to create a movie database. I have a field that contains a multitude of 2 digit codes (DS= Disney, CE= collectors edition...).

In a form, I would like to be able, in a box, for it to display the long names only (Disney, Collectors edition) where it takes the data from the 2digit codes from the other field. some movies contain many of these 2 digit codes.

Thank you in advance !

What is the format of the 2 digit codes? Will they ALWAYS appear as:

CD DS MF

OR

CD, DS, MF

OR

CD - DS - MF

or what??

"90% of the problem is asking the right question.

I have seperated them by "-", CE-DS-IF. But I can easily change that if it will make easier

A starting point (ac2k or above):
tmpArr = Split(Me![2digit codes], "-")
For i = 0 To UBound(tmpArr)
Select Case Trim(tmpArr(i))
Case "DS": tmpArr(i) = "Disney"
Case "CE": tmpArr(i) = "Collectors Edition
End Select
Next i
Me![long names textbox] = Join(tmpArr, vbCrLf

Hope This Helps, PH.
