Hi all!

How can you see when a user dial a TAC, in real time? I had some problems with users that dial this numbers and I want to know right away when one of them dial it. I use the command list trace tac xxx, but it only show one TAC, and I need to see all the TACs. The system is G3siV12.

Thx

Unless you need to dial the TAC (and I've seen very few cases where this is absolutely necessary), I would change Dial Access on the first page of the Trunk Group form to No. Users should be using the ARS Access code (generally 9) for outbound calling, unless that particular group is use for paging.

unfortunaly I need to use them, because a group of persons need to access a certain lines so I configured it, but someone else knew the TAC and used it. But I need to know and see when this person is trying access the trunks.

I can't make a case for anyone to use a TAC for an outbound call. "because a group of persons need to access a certain lines so I configured it" Why? I bet there is a way for those users not to dial via a TAC and still do what you want. Please explain more...

You´re right to "I can't make a case for anyone to use a TAC for an outbound call", I´m that thinking too. But have you ever had the problem that when you call someone and he see your number Id and don´t answer you?, so what can you do to make the person answer your call?,you need a different number so that person can´t identify you. That´s why I implemented it.

Normally you would do this with the Change ISDN Public Numbering. If you're using CO trunks, however, this won't work.

We are using CO trunks. And back to my answer, do you know about a command that let you monitor all the TACs in real time?

To my knowledge it can only be one at a time. Someone else may have a way to monitor more than one.

It sounds like you might need to add a personal CO line as a button on their phones. That would give you another line to use, get you out of someone that could possibly be unauthorized using a trunk group access code and might even cut down on the threat of having toll fraud go on by your TAC's getting out.

hmmmm. No PRI huh??? How many CO trunks do you have? The total cost for your CO trunk may be more than the cost of a PRI and you would gain DID service. Anyway, getting off topic.

What you could do is set up apartition route table. Then take those CO trunks that they are "TACing" and put them in their own trunk group 2. Your other CO trunks are in trunk 1.

Then the route pattern could have 1st choice trunk 2, second choice trunk 1. Only for this group of users. everyone else would have fist choice trunk 1.
