TableUpdate problem

For a network program using buffering mode 5, "A" edit (rlock) a record, and "B" try to edit the same record, it return fails (obvious). But after that when "A" is still editing, "B" then append a new record, the record cannot be update using tableupdate, what is the problem?

What error does "B" get? Are there any RI (Referential Integrity) relationships to a second file?

The 'B' get "Record is in use by another user", and the table have parent and child relationship in data envirnoment. So what is the problem?
