Table of Contents linking objects

I want to be able to create a table of contents that looks like this:

Washers.....................................2

I can do that now, but I want the object known as "Washers" to be linked to page 2 so that when I move washers to another page (let's say page 3) it automatically changes the table of contents to display page 3; so that it looks like this:

Washer......................................3

Anyway I can do that?
 
Whilst MS Word has the facility to create and manage a table of contents. MS Publisher does not. You have to mannually maintain your table of contents entry and the page number
