Can i create a pdf, where when you view the table of contents (first page), you can click on a section, and it will jump you there?

thanks a lot. i take it that i would use bookmark in word or whatever program, and when i turn the document into a pdf it will still have the jump to abilities?

No, I'm sorry for not being more clear. I assumed you had Acrobat. "Bookmarks" is the Acrobat term for creating a hyperlink that takes you to a specific page/spot/zoom within the PDF document.

Depending on your process for creating the PDF, your hyperlinks may or may not come across.

If you describe your workflow and what software programs you have, I'm sure people here can give you a step-by-step walkthrough.
