I am fairly new to indesign. I did not plan well for my table of contents. I did format each product item title with a character style but did not apply a unique paragraph style. I went to generate a table of contents and it seams, i can only use paragraph styles.
How can I use the character style to create my table of contents?

1. can I apply a paragraph style for all entries with a certain character style?
2. Can I use character styles for TOC?
3. Any non manual method available?

Thanks,
Mike

Yes you can search for character styles and then apply a paragraph style, if the lines are seperated. And then make TOC after the paragraphstyles. There are no ohter methods.
