Table names end with ;1

A coworker of mine has an issue with some of the table names in Access 2000. When he opens the database on his own computer, all the table names are spelled out correctly. But when a user open the same database, all the table names end with ";1" without the quotes. Does anyone know what does ";1" mean and how do I come about fixing the problem.

Thanks for all your help.

A 1 will appear after a table name if you import a table into the database and that table already exists. For example, if your database contains tblProduct and you go to File-->Import-->GetExternal and import it again without deleting the original you will now have tblProduct and tblProduct1. The database will still be looking at tblProduct as no queries, sql statements, etc. will be tied to tblProduct1 (unless you have sometimes referenced on table and at other times the other). As to whether you want to stay with the original tblProduct or delete it an replace it with tblProduct1 (renaming it to tblProduct) is your call - are the contents identical? Also, be aware that if you go to delete tblProduct you may get a message telling you that you cannot until relationships are removed. You may have to remove them and remake them when done with switch.

Ok, that would explain the 1 at the end, but does it explains why it has the ;1 or semicolon and a 1 attached next to all the table names? But thanks for the prompt reply.

Allow me to clarify the mistake I made. I was just informed that the names with the ;1 extension is not a tablename, but storage procedure names.
