I included a table into an existing report and moved two of the fields from the table onto the report. No information will display.

I pulled a field from another table and dropped it into the report. It displayed fine.

Could anyone give me some ideas as to what I might be dealing with? I am a new Crystal user and was very excited to find Tek-Tips and this Crystal forums.

I am working with version 8.5 and I am trying to put the fields in the report header section. The information I am trying to pull is the salespeople's first and last names. The report will be ran for each salesperson and I have a parameter field set up linked to their ID numbers.

"Salesperson ID: XXXXXX" (parameter field)
Salesperson Name: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx" (fields that won't display)

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Most likely you have multiple tables and they are not linked properly. What are the tables you have in the report and how are they related to each other?

Also, your statement "I have a parameter field set up linked to their ID numbers" is confusing. How did you do this? I suspect you may have done something wrong here.

Thank you for the prompt reply to my post. I relinked the tables and tried again to include the fields. No change

I have linked tables from Great Plain Dynamics verson #6. One table contains information from the Customer card, one from the Salespersons card, Invoice information, and inventory item information.

My parameter field seems to be working properly. The correct information pulls for each sales rep.

I think I will insert a different table and see if that information is available to me.

Let me know what other thoughts you have.

Thanks,

Debbie Richards

You might try the Great Plains forum, some GP Gurus there will most likely know the database better than you or I. A tek-tipster by the handle of MarkaJem is very, very good and he knows the database.

I have received this message "More than one data source or stored procedure has been used in this report. Please make sure no SQL Expression is added and no server-side group is performed"

About a week ago an MIS person came in and relinked me to my Dynamics tables. This report was already done and included the three tables that work in the report. Now when I add any new table I can not get the information.

There is something going on here isn't there?

They may have changed or added an ODBC data source, or something along those lines.

This warning means that you have more than one type of database (data source) involved in the report.
