Hi
I have generated a form with tab control. The tabs are at the top left hand side of the form. I now want to add a header section so that I can add a close form control.

If, in design view, I add a header and insert a control when I move to the form view the header disappears. The tabs move up to the top of the form.

I have tried draging the tab control down the form a bit to leave a bit of space at the top but on returning to form view the tabs fly to the top left.

What am I doing wrong?

Perhaps a silly question, but have you tried scrolling up? I find tab controls often set themselves at top of screen so header is up, out of view....

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately there are no scroll bars available.

I have increased the width and length of the form so that there is plenty of room but even though, in design view, I drag the tab control to the middle of the form so that there is space all around it, on changing to form view it nips back to the upper lefthand corner.

Probably another silly question then, but have you set the scroll bar properties on the form to be allowed? Also, just while investigating, set modal to false, popup to false. Also consider onload event:

docmd.setfocus NameOfControlInHeader

Keep us posted, its bed time here in aus but will be curious to know how you go in the morning!
