We have a t7406 and the range is not very good. Our office is a metal building, but still the range compared to an analog cordless phone is not very good. My question is, is the T7406E better?

Thanks
Chad

You bet. Have been upgrading alot of my customers to the "e" and to date have had great success with no major issues. Besides the range with the 7406 , there has been a some issues with inductive / noise around power etc, etc , but also remember the importance of where the base is located is also a factor, no matter what type of set you're using. The one complain is the stand for the "e" has no slot for an extra battery. In cases where there is heavy use (Cus uses 24 /7) best bet is to purchase the 2 port battery charger as well. (The bats. are good , but nothing lasts for ever).

Enjoy

Ive had one or two complaints about the microphone being too sensitive on the "e" sets, making overhead paging sound fuzzy.
