Sold a CICS 6.1 and t7316e sets to a pizza joint a couple of years ago.He has been very succesful and now has 4 people answering calls at the front counter with these sets close together. They are having trouble hearing callers and I've told him the ambient room noise doesn't help. he is asking about a device he can add such as a confidencer like the old days, which will cut down on the sets picking up room noise. The CO lines are set to "near", but I've tried all settings. I know he should really move these people to another location but space is limited and he wants them to multitask. Is anyone aware of a handset or device that will be worth a try? Amplifiers of course only increase the noise level.
Thanks

Walker makes a handset inline amp. Very good and loud. Runs on battery or power supply. I bought them through Graybar. You might look at headsets with confidencers on them.

There's also a "noisy location" handset available for the 7316 phones - part number NT0C09NL-03. Haven't used one before, but it might help.

Thanks for the input, I'll look into the confidencer handset, but I still feel an amplifier will only increase room noise...(he has tried one).
Thanks again

This used to work way back when, put a piece of masking tape over the mic grill on the handset, poke a hole in it, if poeple can't hear you put another hole in it.Yhis cuts the sidetone down.
