Hello everyone,
So i have this Mauritius number that i need to fax to. I am dialing from Canada so i dial 011 230 XXX XXXX.
From a digital phone from my Option 11 i dial the number and it can connect to a fax tone.
From a fax machine off an analog line off the same pbx i dial the number and can hear a fax tone but the fax does not send successfully.
From a fax machine off a standalone analog line at a different site, i dial, can hear a fax tone, but fax does not send successfully.
From yet another fax machine at a different site, i dial, can hear a fax tone and can send successfully.
So my question is, why can i not fax from those 2 particular fax machines?
I have read up on the t30 pstn fax standards and it seems pretty basic, it should "just work".
I have also printed out on the Option 11, the ld 90 SPN and do see the 011 entry. However, i print out the nxx and do not see any entries at all. Could that be the reason why? but that would not make sense as i am able to fax to the UK no problem AND i am able to dial it from the digital phone even without a 230 nxx entry.
Any one ever experience issues in faxing due to machine to machine incompatibities?
thank you
