T24-KIM with old software

Hi..
Will the t24 work on pre 6.1 software. I have not installed one yet on older software, but I am guessing that with 4.X it will be recognized as a CAP. Am I correct?

I'm fairly certain you need 6.1 software for the new KIM to work at all.

Believe you are correct. The unit apparrantly doesn't need an external power supply but runs from port source too.

The Nortel introductory webcast on 6.1 s/w, T7316e and KIM advised that the Kim was useless on s/w earlier than 6.1
