We use AT&T for our T1 and they just love to blame the equipment. Does anyone have any thoughts on the following:

Can too many errors received on the t1 card cause the whole phone system to freeze and then reset itself?

When I call our 800# (on our T1)I get a dead-air for about 10 seconds and then a fast busy signal. I reset the T-1 card and can then make 2-7 or 8 successful calls to the 800# before I start to get the fast-busy again. Has anyone ever experienced this?

AT&T says they test fine and are getting errors from the KSU when they loop it. My phone vendor says AT&T is full of it. He subscribes to GIGO.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Thank you in advance,
Chris

It sounds to me like it might be worth your while to have your own CSU . If they are testing Clean to there NIU or smart jack but dirty to the CSU they will blame the equipment every time . We have our own CSU's in place just to prevent this . As I can remotly set our CSU in Loopback for testing . There Is the possibality your T1 card is bad . Has your vendor looked into that ?
If you need a good Brand CSU I can give you one .
We use Carrier access Adit 600 with Quad T1 cards . It is basicly a Mini dax . If you want to look at there products you can go to
They are very easy to install and maintain .

Do a loopback from your DTI. The DTI does have its own csu/dsu. make sure of your setting with AT&T ami, b8zs ( sf, esf ) Jeter@LasVegas.com
