I'm looking for some info on how to set up a T1 link on a 3300 to talk to a DMS100.

We don't use T1 in the UK, but have been forced down this route as we are connecting to a DMS100 used by a Nth American organisation.

We have managed to get the link into an "idle" state, but whenever trying to select a trunk and dial we either get Access denied or Busy. The engineers working on the DMS100 are'nt being to helpfull !

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Assuming Embedded using Dual T1/E1 Module

If you have a CX or CXi and are using the Single T1 Module the steps are slightly different.

1 - Controller Module Config - Set up as Dual Framer
2 - Dual T1/E1 Framer Configuration - Interface type - T1
3 - Digital Link Descriptor (Number of your choice)
- Address for Message Control = A
- Integrated Digital Access = ISDN NODE
4 - Digital Link Assignment -
- Interface Type = UNIVERSAL T1
- Digital Link Descriptor = Step 3
5 - Digital Trunk Assignment - Create trunks
6 - Network Sync - Assign to PLID of card
7 - Protocol Assignment
- Interface Type = T1
- Protocol = DMS 100
8 - Bearer Capabilities - Default
9 - Network Specific Facilities - Default
10 - Calling Line ID Restriction - Default
11 - DID Ranges for CPN Substitution - None Required
12 - CPN Substitution - Input Default CPN for Voice
13 - Trunk group - Add Trunk members
14 - ARS as required

You can test using direct trunk select feature access code. The trunk number must be entered as 4 digits (Trunk 1 = 0001)

FAC+0001+outbound digits
