T1/E1 W/Dual Inband Loopback card

I am able to put a loopback plug on the cable to the card and the card loops back, Telco tells me they are not able to loopback to the card. Should Telco be able to loop back to the card through the smart jack? I am sure this is a basic question but I am new to Mitel and the MCD. Thank you

Absolutely they should. There is an open somewhere.

Make sure the in digital link descripter is set to CSU if in DSX mode I don't believe the loopback function works.

BTW, when you say card, do you mean the card in the smart jack, or the framer card in the Mitel?

They should be able to loop back to their termination equipment but not cause a loop back as far as the Mitel.
