Good morning,
I attempted last night to convert our exisitng T1 from e&m tie to PRI. D-channel came right up, but my trunks would not, they stayed in OOS-Pins-FE on both ends.
Regardless, to do this, I had to remove the existing trunk groups(voice TG and data TG) to install my new PRI trunk groups. After the failure (always good to fail occasionally, keeps me humble), I re-programmed the trunk groups, and they came back up as inservice/idle. I can call back and forth just fine. My problem is that I am no longer passing internal caller-id between the locations, and the remote end seems to have lost its ability to cover to our voicemail here at the main node.
As as side note, previous to this, I would test the voice mail by calling the data module, and it would connect me to the VM back here on main campus. Now when I call the data module at the remote end, I get modem tone.
Any thoughts as to what I may have broken by removing the trunk groups for e&m tie at each end? I had printed them in advance just in case the PRI didn't work, so they are programmed exactly as they were before. I really think I broke the data module somehow.
TIA
Kyle
We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.
