Have a service provider delivering me an integrated T1 for voice and data. My first 16 channels are set up as 2 way Tie Trunks / TT /Wink Wink / E&M type 1s / with ansSupvr at 300ms and disconnect at 300ms. The remaining is set as unequipped. The T1 is set for ESF / B8ZS / Rob_Bit / LineComp 1. Confirmed all settings with provider, but I keep getting intermittent busies signals and lost digits so the calls default to the main attendant. I’ve replaced the 100d board and processor and still have the same problem. Is there something I’m missing? The switch is a Legend 7 ver 14.

I would check to see how many TTR's (Touch Tone Receivers) you have and how well they are working.

How would you test TTR's? The current config on the switch is:
SLT 0 - CKE3/HD 00/ V14.2
SLT 1 - 008 MLX/ HD 01/ Firm 09
SLT 2 - 800 DID/ HD 00/ Firm 80 (NOT USED ANY MORE)
SLT 3 - 100 CSU-DSU/HD 0A/APP 18/FIRM 91-(NOT SURE WHY IT'S REPORTING LIKE THIS)
SLT 4 - 016 TRR/ HD 50/APP 22/FIRM 12
SLT 5 - 400 GS/LS/TTR/HD 03/FIRM 11

I've tested all the boards and controllers and the 400 GS/LS TTR failed the internal Loopback test. The error was
00 00 00 04 00 00 00 00
03 03 03 03 03 03 03 03

I kept the board busied out and made a multiple test calls and so far so good.

Thanks for the help with this problem. It's great to have a source like this to throw things around. I was so sure it was a T1 problem or a config issue I never thought to test the other boards to see if that could be causing it.

Thanks

OK, Here's the score:

SLT 2 - 800 DID - 2 TTR's
SLT 4 - 016 TRR - 4 TTR's
SLT 5 - 400 GS/LS/TTR - 4 TTR's

So, you have 10 ttr's.

Put a single line set in one of the 016-Trr Ports.

STEP 1) DIAL *04 (TTR TEST START)
STEP 2) DIAL 01 (To test TTR NUMBER 1)
STEP 3) DIAL 123456789*0# - and then you should hear:

Beep Beep or Beep Beep Beep.

Then do STEP 2 & 3 for 02 thru 10.

IF you have a bad one, you will not get any BEEPS.

HOWEVER, let's look at the NUMBERS!

You have 10 TTR's - 8 Phones and 16 LINES that can use TTR's.

How busy does this get? VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION !

It is possible, with the NUMBERS we are looking at, that you could have more calls coming in than you have TTR's to handle them!

But check them first and see what you find.

Not busy at all the calls were failing somtimes with just one call coming in. I do have another site that this may be an issue through. It is two Legends networked with a point to point PRI which the host switch accomodats two additional T1's for access to the outside world going They have been complaining that they call somebody and end up at the reception insted. I think this switch is maxed out too. mostly with 408 ATL mods and three T1 cards and a 012 mod.
