I am a bit confused here I have a T1 tie link down between my Opt 81 and the Opt 11. I don't have a test set, but I can throw a hard loop towards the Opt 11 and they say they see it good on their test set. But when I try to bring the span up this is all I get:

OPT 11

I have tried to bounce both ends, but it just won't come back up.... ideas?

why are the 2 links setup differently?

OPT11 - ESF/B8Z/FDL
OPT81 - D3/ AMI/DG2

I don't know? It's been up and running though..... I have never changed anything?

I have never seen a setup where the Framing doesn't match, that is really strange

Right? Well - maybe I am not looking at the right one - but I don't see anything else down? I know they abandoned something else a few years ago.....could be I'm chasing that one I guess. Maybe I need to dig deeper in the questions here. Seems like it can't be right......

In the OPT 81 go to LD 22 and
REQ prt
TYPE adan dch 4
That will give you the DCHL (loop that DCH 4 is on).
Seems like that is where your problem is.

As for loop 18, those are CAMA trunks. Not even sure there is a DCH for them.

Your loop 2 on the 11 and your loop 18 on the 81 are not tied together - You can't have a PRI on one end and DTI on the other and expect it to work...ever.

AHH - thanks for the sanity check! I must have found something that changed state from Disabled to MBSY for some reason then? Not sure how that could have happened..... would it do that if the switch did an INI I wonder? I think I am chasing one that got turned down and they left in place in case they wanted to turn it back up. I imagine the telco will have long forgotten about it by now. I still will make the trip to the other end just to check myself - and tag/mark things so I don't chase my tail again. Thanks guys!

I would not INI. Bounce the loop and d channel on both ends

With loop 18 - if anyone wanted it disabled and programming left for later use for a "just in case"... I would expect they disable the loop vs all the trunks. It's possible they just pulled the cable from the CSU if they didn't know how to login and disable the loop. The other scenario is that loop 18 is suppose to be working and is down either due to hardware fault or a telco issue.

Loop 2 looks to be tied to whatever loop is being service by DCH 4 on the 81...just a guess, since that's the only DCH that's down on the 81.

Yep - I may have to call in our vendor. It's a bit of a head scratcher to me. I normally don't mess with the T1's, so I usually don't pay them any attention unless something changes states from the last time I got in there. They recently did some work on a microwave tower that carries one of our T1's - so that's when I decided I better look to make sure everything was OK. Every once in awhile I have one get goofy on me and I have to reset both sides to get them to some back up. That makes it much easier on me to not have to call out the vendor for things like that. I don't see any call processing issues so far at the remote site. I just got back from there. it's going to take somebody with deeper knowledge of how this thing is connected to weed through these. It looks to me like neither one is going to anything now that I have kicked it around as much as I know how. If that's the case I will disable everything.
