Got a customer with 4.1 IP500 with a T-1 setup with 24 channels of TIE trunks
Some analog extensions with no voicemail and call-waiting checked off
If that extension is busy and a call for it comes in from the outside world, the caller doesn't hear busy - just silence - doesn't even drop them.

Correction - it eventually will drop the second caller - I would think they should at least get a busy audible signal.

Just experienced this with McLeod service. Make sure they have Call Waiting turned on in their switch. It is not the same call waiting that we are used to with the beeps but acts like a virtual call path similar to 800 numbers.

The second call is hitting the IP500 - which I would expect it to do. The IP500 should be returning the busy signal to the caller.
