Hi All,
We currently have 30 incoming and 23 outgoing analog trunks that we will be converting to 2 T-1 PRI's for caller id. My question is with a existing T-1 PRI used for 911 ali info. I'm told it sends the location info over the PSTN to the PSAP if someone dialed 911 from a system number. Can I convert it to a incoming and outgoing PRI? If so will it send the ali info over the PSTN to the PSAP the same way the old ckt did?

Depends on what info you are sending to the PSAP and how? do you have some e911 server with all the station location info being forwarded to them or some other setup like that or are they just getting the station extension?

We have a definity G3V9I so it is probably just sending stn ext.

If what you want is for calls to your DID numbers or some LDN to come in on it you should just be able to request the LEC to point those numbers to that PRI if that is what you are asking?

Just need to be aware of how it is setup as far as how many digits are being sent and the COR of the groups to ensure you don't block the calls. You can ask them for a new number and have it pointed to it for testing in advance.

We just wanted to make sure that if we cut from analog trunks to PRI the location info will be sent to dispatch just like a normal 911 call would.
