The system booted by it self. The date and time were way of like about 3 years. Had to update lots of changes for the past three weeks. Tried to do an edd in ld 43, but got an error eddo16 not go data at the command prompt. It is an option 11e, and we do not have a backup at all. The system seems to be up and running, but a need to save all the changes and back it up to a laptop through the sdi port.
The manual tells me to clear out some system errors and try again any helpful ideas to get the edd016 error to go away would be greatly appreciated. I can not really explain what happened the system has battery backup and is on a ups.

You could really benefit at this point from some on site professional support but if that is not possible I would probably do an edd clr at the prompt in 43 then data dump it. Sound like you have corruption and that’s why the switch reloaded. I am fairly certain backing up to a laptop via file transfer will only get the data from the last edd which sounds like is not good for you. Also sounds like you have not data dumped in quite a while to have to go in and do all those changes. Something that should have been caught by someone if it was being monitored.

Thank You for your information, I read something about the edd clr, but it said something about writing corruption back into flash, So decided to wait.

yes you are taking that risk but if you do not have access to someone who can go into PDT and clean up the corruption you have no other choice I know of. You are between a rock and a hard place.
