There is a clock on the lower right corner of the System Status app, I assume that is the IPO system time; that time did not match up with my PC clock so I know it does not come from me computer.

Watching the phones they do seem to be on the same minute but not the exact time as the IPO clock.

Can anyone confirm the clock operation for me?

As with many things in SSA, you can ignore the time it shows...it's buggy, only true way to tell is looking at the timestamps in monitor :)

I set the clock source to SNTP and use 3.pool.ntp.org as the time server address.

I am pretty sure it is keeping time, just wondering why the phones aren't synced with the IPO.

If you use a fqdn for sntp, make sure you populate dns as well.

I think there should be a delay for the phone's clock to get synch from IPO.

7.0 has time bugs in SSA.
This is solved in 7.0.36 for sure.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

If NTP is hard to obtain, install VMPro on the computer you have on-site. (You don't need a license, just install and check that the service is running)

In Manager: System > Time Setting Config Source: Choose "VMPro/Manager" > Save Config.

Open SSA: Resources > Time.

If it worked, you will see "Last Poll Result: OK"

In your average network if you do a scan it will bring up at least 3 or 4 NTP servers, Windows servers act as NTP servers as do many PC's and some routers etc, I nearly always find one anyway...or use external (uk.pool.ntp.org) :)

Hi @,

we use the same TimeServer (NTP) for Server, PC and IPO,
but the Phones time goes "wrong" approx. 1 min. (late) [3eyes]

We have this on different Customer Sites,
any Idea or statement?

greets and nice weekend

Roland
