I have a customer that changes their on-call person weekly. Currently they manually update the system speed call to reflect the proper cell phone number. Does anyone know of a program that could automate this change?

Does the call come into the pbx on the same number and then diverted to the on call mobile?
Are they always the same mobiles on a rota system?

System type matters!

Sorry about the system type. It is a 3300. The after hours call is answered via auto attendant. If the caller chooses the on call option, it is always routed to the same speed dial number. It is the "Actual Number" that they manually update weekly.

So, what you need to do is have the call transfered to a station that can be forwarded externally

This way you can utilize the 3rd party call forward FAC to change the destination of the forward.

The last time I did this I had a 5340 with page 3 setup and labeled for each forwardee. The users would simply press the key associated with the oncall person and the forwarding would change.

I can't utilize a 5340. I'm running v7. This is a non-prof that won't spend a dime. They are wanting to automate this with a script. I attempted to do the script through a telnet session but the 3300 will not allow updates to sys speed anywhere but the ESM.

You can use any phone with feature buttons it dos not need to be a 5340 it just depends on how many different numbers you want to forward to.

The 5340 was an example of the way it can be done, not an example of the way it must be done.

It does not need to be programmed on buttons at all. Simply dial the FAC to change the forwarding. Programming the FAC on keys only increases reliability and convenience.

AUTOMATION. I simply asked if anyone knew of a PROGRAM that could AUTOMATE this process.

CFA feature can be changed from OPS manager, so I assume there is a way to do it. The only complication is that it is not documented. Also SDS can update forms. If you can make a 3300 SDS emulator and push updates from there it is also possible. Once again CFA feature can be controlled via MiTAI interface.
One more option is to use 3rd party CFA and make an autodialer, which will call in and enter a DTMF sequence.

BWAR - I know this is international Capitalization day but you last post is insulting. Don't burn your bridges.

as has been stated, you can send the call not to a speed dial but an extension. then set up third party call forwarding. then set up an analog (ONS) port that has the COS options that allow it to dial the third party call forwarding feature access code, extension, and destination.
then connect that analog port to a modem on a computer. Then write a utility that goes off hook on the modem and dials the appropriate code at the appropriate time.
actually had a customer do that very thing years ago to automate day/night switching on a 2000. worked like a charm.

I have just had a thought regarding automation with OpsMan

There is a little under used feature called sheduled MAC
You need to setup the TASMAC spreadsheet with info that you want to change.
This includes Call forwarding Always so it could be possible to setup several sheduled MAC tasks in advance which could be what you are after.
