Hi in relation with this thread

I'm into same boat, though my sd card never failed so far, but thinking of this scenario, it is better to have a contingency for this.

With this, is transferring of all my new licenses into new sd card (as back up) will cost a lot? do you have any idea how much?

Regards,

I sure hope not. I can say, that when we do them the cost is not even close, and it is tiny. 2.8K is absurd. I have had several emergencies and I got them back in under an hour. Not to say that is the norm, but I have done it.

Standard swap for migrating or replacing a corrupt SD card. Provide old FK and New FK or purchase new SD card with new clean FK. Submit swap, mailback old SD or Dongle within a reasonable amount of time.

If Avaya does not get the old FK back they bill for the LIC that were swapped. Pretty simple process.

What problems are You having with your SD card that You want to swap licenses?
Indeed early SD cards were flaky, but a reformat ( sometimes twice ) usually dose the trick.
You will probably have to replace the 500v2 because of the power supply going bad, before the SD card goes bad.

I'd be happy to swap it for you for $2,500.00. [smile] Seriously, This seems super shady. A swap fee should be nominal at best as long as you send the original SD card back to Avaya. I am guessing your supplier is planning on keeping the "bad" sd card and reselling it. The $2,800.00 is then going to cover the cost of the licenses for the new card which they will be charged for not returning it.
