Today, my system froze on me. Only happened once before. I hit the reset, but no error message appeared. Then later, the screen just "rolls" and it reboots on its own. When it came back up, the shortcuts would not work. Sort of frozen again. I did a shutdown and then when it rebooted, the error message that the system had recovered from a serious error. Now I have had 2 of these messages in the past.
Somebody had instructed me before to do this and I did. System...shutoff system restore. Reboot. Turn on system restore. Reboot.
Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks.

Use Regedit and find the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug.
Set the Auto string to 0.

Okay, it happened again. But there is no ApplicationData folder in All Users?
Also, may I ask. When it does this, should I everytime go to System Restore and check the box, reboot, uncheck the box and reboot? I have been doing that.
Also too. I don't see the window now that was open for DrWatson.

I am unsure of what activesync for Ipac 2215 is.

Look in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson

You do not need to keep clearing system restore.

Thanks. But I go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users. And the only folders there are :
Desktop
Favorites
StartMenu
Shared Documents

I don't see what I think I am looking for in any of those folders. Am I close to getting fired?

It was not found. drwtsn32.log. I am sure I had it enabled because a window was open for the doctor.

Now it has been several days since I have had this happen. However, this morning this other thing did.

When I first tried connecting with my dialup, I got "modem or hardware device failure". I shut down and started again and was fine. Could this be connected?

Thanks.

Hardware problems are always related, but as a source of problems rather than as a consequence.
