OK so i thought I was going mad after using three different cd drives , four different platform disks ...now i had just swapped my laptop from XP to Windows 8 , also tried a dem laptop running 2008r2 (in house IPO) , anyway some of you guys may know about the issue but i did not either see or bother to read the PCN , so the below link resolves the issue and saves your sanity.
