System performance 1

Guys,

Currently I want to do some performance testing on a Regatta with AIX5.1, Redbrick and veritas installed. If I want to capture the output of a certain tool such as topas or vmstat, can I like grep it to a file? or is there any other tools which can be obtained?

Hi,

The best would be to use nmon tool,which can write to file in a different text formats,and can be analysed using excel later.

thanks for the info.. installed and run it. powerful tool but now i'm trying to understand the graphs created, in other words the output.. cool stuff.
