When performing a "STAT XSM" in LD 35 I receive a "PWR013 01 0 0" error on a 2 column M1 Option 61C, Ver 2911 Rls 25. This indicates the communication link between the master system monitor and the slave in col 1 is down. I have replaced the line cord (Nortel refers to this as a Serial Link Cable) between the master & slave monitors. I have also replaced the slave system monitor in column 1 but I continue receiving the same error. I have not replaced the master system monitor because of the need to power down col 0, which is where both core/net modules are, and I thought the chances of only the J6 port on the master bieng bad were remote.

Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks
Lenny

you don't have to power down that col if your quick, just dis the mon and unplug it.. but your right, not usually the master.. have you checked the cables between the top cap and the monitor? they can get cocked or pinched. and the reed switch on the top cap can go bad. the filter itself can cause an airflow problem

We had those same issues and replaced everything under the sun it seemed. Until I had the unusually (for me) bright idea to reseat the PE Power supplies one at a time on that column. Believe it or not. the PWR013 messages went away.

Would not suggest working on this during normal hours. Could be something as simple as a dip switch. Nortel says that it is hot swapable but 9 out of 10 times the power switch will trip when card is re-installed, more likely to occur on an AC system.

Thanks everyone for the response. I will check the cabling to the top panel and the col filter. I will try the PE PS Reset but I did power them all down when I replaced the monitor. The only thing I questioned on the dip switch settings was the 1 for PFTU. We do not have PFTU in this PBX but the dip is set as if we did.
