Ok , you guys are going to think I am stupid but have tryed everything I know. So I am here b4 you great Gods Of telecom.When you F983 & log you see sys mgr but there is a old employee's voice on there saying Karen Miller ? Like for the Company dir ? how do i clear that ? Thanks

When you log to F983 you should see ADMIN, MBOX, AA, OTHER

If you are talking about logging into mailbox 102 then press ADMIN and 1, then listen for the prompt "to record your name in the company directory press X" I think its 1 again.

Ok , you are right ! I do F981 , it says log then 102 1111 and the words appear system mgr and it says Karen Miller is it tied to the ext 21 ? IDK ? I am using phone @ ext 21.

in the norstar voicemail systems there are 2 mailboxes that cannot be deleted
one is the general delivery it is used as a catch all so if a ext has no mailbox or someone dials an invalid ext from auto attendant , it has a place to go and not hang up on the customer

the second is the system manager , as it says it is used for system access to programming

so if the system manager mailbox password is changed the password to programming is changed

that being said
the gen del mailbox is usually assigned to the reception
the system manager, most of the time is not assigned , but canbe to the person in charge on the v mail system

if you just need the voice off then use what culycord said ,go into mailbox in question and press 8 (admin) then 1 and record new name or silence
