My Windows 2000 server is slow.. I looked at system perfomance and saw that FINDFAST.EXE is using 28 % of my processor.
What is happening ?

Thanks

Elias

Findfast is the indexing process used by MS Office for searching. That could be slowing down your system some but if it's really slow I can't see that being the whole problem.

Can you give us more info like what all is running on the server, has it always been slow, is it slow starting up or just slow all the time?

If this is not a computer that needs to have office running on it I would really recommend that you uninstall it. Also I would look at how much free (if any) memory you have. RAM might be the simplest answer for now.

I agree with rubiconx, sounds like there may be more to it.
