Is the System ID that you can change in LD 02 the ID that NORTEL understands as the Switch ID???

I am a DMS 100 guy and I am used to the NORTEL ID being set in the switch. \

Thank you

If this is an Option 11C you have the possiblity to change the AUX ID in LD 143 - not the switch/system ID. The switch/system ID is linked to the key codes for the switch.

If Nortel ask for the Switch ID - they need what John says, LD 22, REQ TID.

TID is associated with the dongle installed into the option 11C and the IODUC for the large systems.

you guys are the best. It is an 81C, but you gave me exactly what I needed.... What is the system ID in LD 2 that you can change for???????

I have never noticed this System ID in LD 2 before...

From NTP (Traffic reports):
The system ID is required when the system is controlled from a central administration center. The system ID identifies the system from which the traffic measurements originate. Each system is identified by a unique 1- to 4-digit number that is output as part of the traffic data.
The system ID is assigned to the system when the traffic measurement schedules and options are defined. It is input the first time traffic schedules are defined. When traffic schedules or options are changed, the system ID number need not be redefined. The system ID can also be changed using the Configuration Record 1 Overlay (LD 17).

When I do a TID in load 22 it gives me the Tape ID. It is a 6 digit alphanumeric number.... Thank you guys. I am guessing that this is what I need. In load 2 there is a 4 digit numeric number for system ID that you can change by doing an SSID or you can view it by doing a TSID....... I am new to the Meridian 1 world and am learning on the fly so thank you guys for the bit of knowledge....
