Hello,

I have a Server 2003 that is doing repeated system crashes when a certain process runs on the server. What is the best way to open and interprete the dump files that are created?

Thanks in advance,

JJ

If you need to ask you won't understand what you are looking at. You should invest the money and place a call to Microsoft to have them troubleshoot the issue.

I was fortunate enough to attend a Microsoft class in this once and having not used the skills in a while would have a very hard time understanding it today. Depending ont he service causing problems, you might need proprietary symbol files to troubleshoot it, and Microsoft will not give those to you.

If you know what service is causing the problem, disable it until you verify you are running the latest version of that service.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks for the information, that route worked best. Although, would like to learn how to decode sometime down the road.
