I got a notification that IBM would no longer support sysback.

Isn't the mksysb command inside the sysback software? What should we use if it goes away?

Also, isn't the mkvgback command is inside sysback? That is what I currently use to backup my data.

I backup about 170 gig total, 140 of which is a couple of oracle databases. I have an LTO-2 autoloader.

What is the backup software of choice?

Thanks in advance,
Debi
AIX 5.1

Sysback is now under the umbrella of Tivoli and no longer supported by the IBM pSeries group.

If you liked using sysback then take a look at storix SBA at who are the creators of sysback. They have an AIX version which is also compatible with Linux. Works great!
