Syncronise outlook with OWA

Is it possible to syncronise outlook with owa?
And if so how do I configure the outlook.

I would first ask you what version of Exchange and Outlook you are running - but I don't believe it matters in this case. (I could be wrong but I'll go out on teh limb anyway).

To synchronize Outlook with your mailbox from OUTSIDE your network, you would need to enable POP3 services. If you have a VPN on your network and can log in remotely, you could obviously synch Outlook with your Exchange server directly.

I don't believe that OWA on any versions of Exchange offers any kind of interface with Outlook or any other email clients for that matter.

I'm assuming you are asking for the purposes of being on the go and wanting to take your most recent mail messages/appointments etc with you on flights or on the road. If you are running Exchange 2K3 - it has Direct Push (wireless email etc) Technology that works with compatible pocket PC devices.

We use Exchange 2003 and outlook 2003, The thing is that we are operating in places with bad internet comunication.
And since I syncronice my smartphone with the owa server I thought that this also was possible with outlook.

I think what you want is to use cached mode on your outlook client.

Outlook over the internet using RPC over Http's is the only sensible way to do it. If you sort internal DNs out properly too the client will work either inside or outside the network if laptop etc.
