Synchronizing outlook shared calendar to a personal outlook calendar

Hi,
We use microsoft exchange 2003. One of the sales group has a shared calendar. THe users would like to synchronize the shared calendar to their personal calendars in microsoft Office outlook 2003 so that they can set remminders. I read that you can not set reminders on shared calendars in outlook. Is there a way to Sync this calendars??

Your best bet is to setup a global calendar, you cannot sync two seperate calendars. Setup a non user specified calendar that all can view, it is basically a group calendar that assigned users can read/write too.

Is there another calendar application that we can use that is separate from outlook or exchange?? The application needs to be capable of sending a reminder to the users. We are preping for a second SOX audit review and we don't want to make any changes to ourr main applications (exchange being one of them) before then, due to the documentation involved.
