when one of the users on my network logs out he is unable to sync with the 2003 server and is getting a synchronization error. The other 30 users arent having a problem (maybe occasionally they'll get a sync error when logging off but not every time.) Any ideas?

Provide more information on the error if possible.

Hope this information helps.

Mike

It says the that errors have happened while windows was synchronizing your data.

"Unable to make 'desktop.ini' available offline on \server\user\user\my documents access is denied"

this statement repeats an access denied statement several times like the one shown above with litle variation except for what is unable to be made available offline.

login to the computer using an account that has administrative privileges on that computer.

open my computer, go to Tools | Folder Options | Offline Files.

While holding the Shift and Ctrl keys, left-click the Delete Files button; you will see a confirmation dialog box asking if you want to re-initialize the offline cache, or offline files.

Click Yes, restart the computer, and when your user logs in again, make the folder(s) in question available offline again, and synchronize.

Does that resolve the problem?

splat78423,

you asked for ideas but have not provided feedback as to whether they worked. Did that work?
