Symposium Express Reporting tool crashes with exception error 1

I can login to the SMI and run a single report. When I run another report, I get an error. I am running SMI version 4.2 Rev 7. I do not get the error if I close the reporting tool and restart it and run another report.

I have reported this to my vendor, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Out of curiousity, what printer drivers do you have on your pc? I have seen similar problems with certain HP printer drivers.

We are having the same problem. I can run one report then the software gives me the error. We have several hp printers at our location and I have tried each one with the same results. We have an HP4, HP4200 and HP4100. I was wondering how you resolved the problem. Thank you very much for your help.

Maybe try to use the PS drivers for these printers. I have also has problems with the normal PLC drivers. This was solved after installing the PS drivers.

Version 3.5 report process requires netbios to be running. If you are on vlans not running netbios and trying to run scheduled reports, your report manager will fail. You will need either netbios or a helper IP address to make it work.

Supernn, Thanks we were having problems with our reports not printing and kept getting errors involving nicgrptm.exe. I tried several printers by Samsung and HP. The HP 2200 works fine now that Installed the PS driver instead of the PCL driver. Thanks a bunch!
