Can anyone explain to me in lamens terms what the difference between CCS 100 and CCS 200 is? We're looking to upgrade out Meidian Max to Symposium here and an even exchange would be CCS 100 but it's being recommended that we purchase CCS 200?

If I am correct, it has to do with the features you get with the Symposium. I have a spreadsheet with the differences between 100/200/300 and I can post that later this evening.

That would be great! Thanks John

Call Center Software 100 (CCS 100) includes:
- Basic Call Processing
- Call Management and Statistics
- Script Editor and Compiler
- Predefined Scripting
- Real-Time Data Interface
- Real-Time Statistics Multicast (new in Release 4)
- Expert Help & Tutorials

Call Center Software 200 (CCS 200) includes:
- Broadcast Announcement
- Host Enhanced Routing
- Host Data Exchange API
- Individual Call Level Reporting (Call By Call Reporting)
- Advanced Scripting Commands

Call Center Software 300 (CCS 300) includes:
- Network Skills Based Routing
- Network Automatic Call Distribution

I have only rarely seen systems with just CCS 100. Without CCS 200, you will not be able to use some of the more common scripting commands, such as "Where-Equals," or use the "Open Voice Session" functionality. IMO, it's well worth having 100 and 200 both.

Thanks sandyml. I wanted to make sure it's something we will utilize because of the cost difference. There is a significant price increase from the 100 to 200.

sandyml Can you confirm that SCCS200 has the HDX API. I have been wanting to look at this but didnt realize it came with 200.

Also can you point out where I find it.

What is HDX API used for anyway?

It's used to make a dip into a database external to Symposium. You can check several parameters-DNIS, CLID, ROUTE, NPA, as well as customer entered data. We use it to individually look up 800 numbers to determine where they are to be routed. It is very flexible; a little difficult to get debugged & running, pretty processor intensive when it gets busy but so far pretty bulletproof.

pdulfo -- I took that info directly out of the engineering guide. It's possible there is more to getting HDX enabled, I'll check and let you know (unless someone else out there answers that question for us).
