We are in progress of adding an IVR MPS 500 to our Symposium 5.0 (no CCT) and PBX Succession 5.0. Calls will first enter our Symposium and then be routed to the IVR. We want to use the Queue to Skillset ivr_sk within the scripting in order to maintain greater call control. What I'm trying to determine is - can this be done with a Symposium 5.0 without CCT. Our distributor claims they can manually login the Symposium agents without the CCT. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, the IVR ports will have to be set up as ACD sets on the switch and configured as agents (using SCCS agent licenses) on the SCCS. If you don't already have enough licenses to cover the IVR ports, I think you are out of luck as Nortel no longer takes orders for SCCS 5.0.

Typically a "script" is run on the IVR to "log in" the IVR "agents". This script should be set to run every time you start up the IVR. You can also manually log the IVR ports in, but if you are talking 24, 48, or 96 ports, you want to use an automated process.

Yup,

We also have cct, but we have to manually run the login script to log the lines in.

Basically we have a application assigned to a line and then we use tappman to turn the appliction on when we want to log our lines in.

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Thanks for the information. We are good on licenses for the SCCS and PBX however at this point, the distributor/Nortel has not been able to get the 24 phonesets/ports that are programmed on the IVR, PBX and SCCS to acquire/login/idle. I believe this is the first piece of the puzzle before we can attempt to login the actual Symposium IVR agents that are associated with the IVR_Skillset. thanks again for the replies

really? that's quite a basic thing..... They have been through the MPS-PBX Configuration and Interconnectivity Manual book?
