Symbol LS4278 and ADF

I'm trying to switch to USB scanners so I need to figure out how to add prefix and suffix data to all scanned barcodes using Advanced Data Formatting. But I'm not having any luck and Symbol's support on this is terrible. And google just turns up sites like this but the only threads on this forum that deal with ADF are for different scanners and/or locked without any replies.

Any ideas?

Even this is an old question the info might still be good to someone. Nearly all Symbol scanners can use the same program, 123Scan, to create their ADF rules. In the ADF section you can also define what data you want the scanner to send and in what order; this includes any data you might want to pad the scanned data with. The rules are actually pretty flexible really.
