Is it possible to include the Symantec AV client in a Ghost image? I am told by our AV administrator that it does not work because after imaging they wont talk to the Symantec Enterprise Console and therefore will never update definitions and such. If it is possible, can someone point me in the direction of some documentation to implement this? We have a real problem with forgetting to get the client on systems sometimes after re-imaging.

What I would do is install the AV client on the image as unmanaged. Then once the workstation is deployed you can make it a managed client of some parent server. This is how we do it with a large global enterprise.

Wow, that is what I was looking for and will be testing this out. Thanks a lot.
