Sybase Scripts

I am trying to write a startup and shutdown script for sybase, but everytime i do so nothing happens. i have tried the generic script and added variables, set paths, etc etc....i am on my 3rd setup and still nothing happens.If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know.

I'm not sure what you have for your script, but you might be better served in the Sybase forum for this, perhaps not. I know that we have several ksh scripts which perform Sybase startups, shutdowns, etc. But what your asking is a lot, there are a lot of factors to consider when writing a script for this type of process. Post what you have and what you have tried.
