For the sx2000 I am working on, Rey mentioned we have the Light version, we might actualy have the sg version? We need to verify that, or maybe we dont you all are the awsome teckies, we are the younglings.

A reminder for how old our gear is ms2015-f-na-00 edition sx.w16.11 if i am not mistaken, i think rey mentioned it in one of his posts (which was at 56 last I looked x.x)

Another thing before I can continue on the other topics with rey or rivera is i am trying to find a place that can guid me barney style through the hyperterminal after login, I am been exploring it, and things are looking familiar when I skim read reys longer thread.

I have treid to find a good site, I have found through mitel(or similiar) a place to work our sc 1000, but that is only a step. I might have to just post step by step what I see, similer to what rey did, but on an een larger scale. I do not want to have to register with mitel or things like that, being as the receit of this gear we "inherited" might be on some form of bark, and a bone chizel. (heh)(if they want some kind of vreification before we can get a manual.)

Well we do have a tech guy from mitel coming over here, so I have heard, but i do not know if they let him know the state of the gear, guese we will have to wait and see, and I will inform you all if he/she walks in shakes his head and walks out to call his supervisor or if he knows it like the back of his hand.

Ok light versus SG. Easiest way to tell is the light is made up of light grey cabinets. The SG is made up of big black cabinets.

Pretty easy to tell.

There may be no i in team but there are three f's in fudge off.

Huge differences between SG and Light in areas of data save, restore, feature availability etc. I hope your Mitel tech is old enough to vote, your system certainly is.

From the top of the rack, we have a WIN/TMX/Univoice Voice Prossesor, it has above it 8 big owl lights with switches under them, one is labled for the ups. I do not think the lights even work.. .

From there we have 4 peripheral nodes, they look dark dark grey.()Very very dark grey) two below, two above, and the two are connected to each other looking at it form the back. So it basicly in the front looks like two huge desktopss side by side. Then we have a place for a keyboard and monitor, which we do not use (no connection last I was told, we connect to them through the maintainance port in the back via hyperterminal)

Then we have a Mitel 3300 Universol NSU. Then the UPS pbx smart-ups 1500.

I will check out that the handbook soon my data guys got to do their data thing, thank you so much.

and if I did look up the dates right, a lot of this might be about 26 years old, or 18, but im not sure, i kinda stoped trying to look up its age, might be a female and might be a bit weary about its dinosour age.

Sounds like you have a 2k Light there. One of those dark grey boxes must be the controller node. Possibly an early 3300. Is it possible to post a picture of what you've got?

As old as the gear is, it still has some classification issues,but I will ask.

Would not classify most Microlight cabinets as dark dark gray. They were are white. However Mitel did offer black or dark dark grey per nodes for a short time. Therefore mostly likely a Micro light ( are the cabinets connected via fiber cables? ). Also an SG would not take a 3300 NSU node. ReAD the tech handbook supplied by Supernova99 as it will help you.

I don't think this system is that old you know.
It is running W stream and has dark grey per cabs maybe it is 5 years old at max
