Hi Guys,

I have just been asked to set up a new multicall Apperance on a SX2000, I have very limited experience on this switch, mainly MADC stuff.

Can anyone give me a quick heads up, on the exact steps/forms I need to look at.

It seems pretty basic thing to do, but not got a clue where to start.

thanks in advance.

Cheers

Ok, I've figured out that it needs setting up in Multiline Set Group Assignment.

But when I try and add the DNi I want to use in Directory number it says.

"Data for specified form cannot be recalled"

I'm thinking I have to add the extension somewhere first.

Any ideas?

You make the 2nd instance on whatever extension you are adding the number to as a "Multicall Key", or "Key System" depending on application.
So, in Multi Set Key Ass you put in ext 1234 and recall. The prime line will be set to "single Line" and ring. Fine and dandy. Exit there, enter ext 5678 and recall. Go to key 2, add 1234 as a Multicall Key, set it to ring. Commit. Confirm. Now dial 1234 and it will ring at both locations. Go to Multi Set Group Ass, enter 1234 and it will show you where 1234 resides. Multi Set Group Ass is basically for viewing where DN's reside, maybe you can change ring type from there, but I have never tried.

Hi thanks for your reply, it all makes sense except when I go to enter the first number (1234 in your example) I get a error

"Data for the specified form can not be recalled"

How do i add this extension to this form. I have tried all sorts but can't get it to appear in that form.

Any more advice greatly appreciated.

The 1st extension (1234 in this case) must be a Multiline set (410, 420, 430, 4025, 4150, ect...). You are either entering a non multiline set DN, or a non existant DN.
